From four buildings to one : specialist laboratory equipment
This project consists of the transfer of The Biochemistry Department from four buildings on the South Parks Road complex into the new Biochemistry Block adjacent to Hans Krebs Tower on the same estate.
The move covers all laboratory equipment and associated offices and includes chemicals, freezers at minus 80 degrees, glassware, centrifuges, incubators, nitrogen dewers, microscopes, benches and safety cabinets.
Commercial Transfer is also organising the environmental disposal of redundant equipment and furniture.

One of the larger projects : four week relocation
One of the larger projects for the Department of Chemistry was the move of the research function from the old Dyson Perrins Research Buildings in South Parks Road to the new Chemistry Research Laboratory, reputed to be one of the most up-to-date facilities in Europe.
Commercial Transfer move managers were on site throughout the 4-week relocation period and involved in the transfer of laser tables, IT equipment, samples, furniture and the library to their new home.
LONG ASHTON RESEARCH STATION, BRISTOL
Closure of facility : transfer to Hertfordshire
When Long Ashton Research Station closed, all equipment was transferred to a new facility at Rothamsted Research Station in Harpenden, Hertfordshire. This involved the transfer of the Barker Laboratory, including the movement of unitherm ovens, fume cabinets and micro-flow cabinets.

High confidentiality : transfer between laboratories
Due to the sensitive and highly confidential nature of the work carried out here, security was an important factor, with all Commercial Transfer staff being security cleared.
The move involved the transfer of laboratory equipment from Cullham to the site in Abingdon.
