Complex relocation : several weekends

When Fortis Insurance Limited moved from their existing premises in the centre of Southampton to their new purpose-built headquarters at Fortis House, Eastleigh, Commercial Transfer was appointed to carry out their complex relocation of over 300 staff. The transfer included all furniture, IT equipment, and bulk filing, and was undertaken over several weekends.

Following the acquisition by Fortis of North Star Insurance, we were awarded the contract to merge the two offices to a single Gloucester site; subsequently we were awarded the move to transfer Fortis House Gloucester to new premises at Barnwood. This involves the transfer of IT equipment and bulk filing to Barnwood and the clearance of all furniture for recycling.

Hargreaves Lansdown Limited

Numerous relocation projects : office relocations and HQ

Commercial Transfer has undertaken numerous relocation projects for Hargreaves Lansdown in Bristol including various office relocations around the city as well as moves to their Headquarters at Kendal House, which involved the transfer of 150 staff.

LLOYDS TSB

Dedicated project team : 2000 branches : 1 million files

Commercial Transfer set up a dedicated project team to plan and carry out a nationwide transmigration of customer files for Lloyds TSB. This massive undertaking of ‘decentralising’ called for meticulous programming and journey optimisation of deliveries, collections and redeliveries of empty and packed crates. It involved over 2000 branches and about 1 million confidential files. Over 4000 crates were in circulation at any one time.

Branch moves were also carried out during the same period, with their accompanying equipment and furniture.

Excellent communications between the branches, Lloyds TSB and our project team were essential during this complex project, as was a pro-active approach.
