Two businesses merging : evening moves to avoid disruption

When Foot Anstey merged with Serpell Eaton Solicitors in Plymouth all staff for Serpell Eaton transferred to Foot Anstey's premises at Derry's Cross.

Commercial Transfer carried out the moves over an evening working programme so that neither company's business was affected.

FORTIS INSURANCE, GLOUCESTER

500 staff to new premises : files, IT equipment, furniture

The contract involved the transfer of Fortis Insurance to their new premises at Gloucester Business Park. The number of staff moved was 500.

Commercial Transfer sequentially packed and unpacked all bulk filing, transferred all IT equipment and also cleared redundant furniture for recycling.

B&Q

Transfer to new Head Office building : no disruption to business

When B&Q completed their new Head Office building, Hutwood Court in Chandlers Ford, Commercial Transfer was appointed to transfer all furniture, IT and general office effects.

This project involved the transfer of 300 staff to an agreed timetable. All moves were completed on time with no disruption to B&Q’s business.

Call centre : 300 staff : phased programme

When Comet Group moved their national after-service call centre to new premises at Kenn Business Park, Commercial Transfer carried out the relocation. This involved the transfer of 300 staff over a phased timescale, with all phases completed to time.

FOOT ANSTEY SOLICITORS

Two relocations to one site : completion over one long weekend

The Exeter Branch of over 120 staff were relocated over a long weekend from Barnfield Crescent to Senate Court, a brand new building.

During 2006 Foot Anstey Solicitors merged with Arms & Young Solicitors of Taunton. Both Foot Anstey’s existing Taunton branch and the office of Arms & Young moved to the newly-refurbished Wellington House in Taunton. Commercial Transfer completed both relocations to this new site over one weekend.
